7 Million Londoners 1 London
After the 7/7 bombings there was discussion in City Hall whether it was appropriate to launch a communications campaign. It needed to bring to life Ken Livingstone speech, which emphasised London’s strength is its diversity – the question was could this be done sensitively.
The campaign 7 Million Londoners, 1 London was delivered in partnership with the media industry and pulled London together post 7/7. It consisted of outdoor posters, banners, cinema and press ads all donated by media owners, and supported with collateral that Londoners could request via email to show their support of the campaign.
